'I was hit by car going 170km/h and I survived - While I Was Sleeping trailer

In 2021 Australian journalist Ben Hyde was the victim of a catastrophic car crash. Hit from behind by a car barrelling towards him at 170km/h in Adelaide’s CBD, his injuries were innumerable and the journey to recovery long and difficult.

In a documentary from The Advertiser - While I Was Sleeping - Ben tells his story for the first time by embarking on a journey to meet the heroes who saved his life on that fateful night.

The good Samaritans include an Australian Army corporal who happened to witness the crash, an ICU nurse who made a deep impact on Ben’s traumatised family, and many more.
